Aug. 4, 2009

Tel-Aviv, Israel – August 4, 2009 - RADWIN (www.radwin.com), a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, today announced that Chile’s Ministry of Public Works has deployed its wireless broadband systems for a large-scale traffic surveillance project. RADWIN’s systems are used to transmit video from cameras installed along the A-16 highway directly to the Ministry's traffic control center. GlobalLink, a leading system integrator in Chile, was in charge of project deployment.

RADWIN's systems also have low power consumption and can operate on solar panels per the project's demands. With RADWIN's systems in place, personnel can detect and respond to traffic situations and accidents on the spot. For mission-critical projects that require 24/7 high-quality video transmission RADWIN’s systems are the perfect fit.”

RADWIN’s Point-to-Point (PtP) and Multiple Point-to-Point (MPtP) wireless broadband radios are deployed in video surveillance projects worldwide, including in-city and public safety projects, traffic surveillance and border control. The systems deliver dedicated high-capacity and are exceptionally easy to install, operating in extreme temperatures, nLOS and high-interference environments.

Roni Weingberg, RADWIN’s COO, stated: “We are honored to have been chosen by Chile’s Ministry of Public Works for this project. RADWIN’s P-t-P and Multiple P-t-P systems strike the perfect balance between performance, ease-of-deployment and price.
